Something still on your mind?

Type it below and someone from our Houston dispatch desk writes back personally — in English or Spanish, never a canned reply.

Someone from our dispatch desk — a person, not a bot — writes back within one business hour. It costs nothing to ask and locks nothing in; what you share stays with us, never sold or passed along.

What Houston and Harris County customers say about our crews

Google Reviews Yelp Angi Thumbtack HomeAdvisor BBB Accredited

Straight answers, no fine print. These are the questions Houston customers ask us most, covering price, deposits, crews, storms, and high-rises. If yours isn’t here, contact the office and Marisol or Curtis will sort you out.

Worth asking (but nobody does)

What if the crew hits a 610 parking lot at 8am?

Then our on-time guarantee kicks in, which is exactly what it exists for. Your arrival window is in writing, and every hour we’re late past it costs us $25 off your bill, not you.

Can I keep the truck overnight if my closing slips?

Usually, yes. Tell the office the moment the closing wobbles and we’ll hold your load on the truck or vault it in our warehouse overnight for a modest fee. It beats unloading into a hotel parking lot.

Who actually shows up, your guys or temps?

Our guys. All 18 movers are W-2 employees on our payroll, uniformed, led by crew chiefs who’ve been with us for years. Meet them on the about page.

The full list of answers is below, and the Orange Movers office handles the rest. You can also send the quote form any hour of the day.

01 Common questions
So — are you a real moving company?
Yes. Orange Movers is a licensed and insured household-goods mover based right here in Houston, TX. Every job rolls on orange trucks we own outright with movers on our own W-2 payroll, and our Texas DMV registration plus interstate DOT and MC authority stays current and on file.
Do you use day labor or your own employees?
Our own people, always. All 18 movers are full-time W-2 employees in uniform, led by crew chiefs who've been with us for years. No day labor, no temps, no borrowed crews.
What do you charge by the hour?
Two movers and a truck run $145 an hour, and a three-man crew is $198. There's a two-hour minimum Monday through Thursday and a three-hour minimum Friday through Sunday.
How does the flat rate actually work?
We ask four quick questions about your home, your heavy pieces, and both addresses, then email a written flat figure. That's the number on your bill, with stairs and traffic already priced in.
Is there a deposit to hold my date?
Yes, $95 locks your date and comes off your final bill. Cancel or reschedule more than 48 hours out and you get it back in full.
What happens if the truck shows up late?
Every quote carries a one-hour arrival window in writing. For each full hour we're late past it, $25 comes off your bill automatically, no arguing required.
Do you keep moving through hurricane season and the brutal August afternoons?
Yes. Crews wrap and stage furniture indoors before loading, so a passing downpour costs minutes, not your deposit. We only reschedule when a named storm makes Houston roads genuinely unsafe.
Do you cover the suburbs outside Houston?
All twelve of our service areas, from Katy and Cypress out west to Kingwood and Baytown on the east side. Same flat-rate pricing, same on-time guarantee, no travel-fee games.
On a long-distance run, does my load ride alone or share the truck?
Never. Your load gets its own truck and its own crew from pickup to delivery, with no load-sharing, no warehouse transfers, and no waiting on someone else's schedule.
Can you handle a high-rise that wants a COI and an elevator booking?
All the time. Marisol's office issues the certificate of insurance to your building and books the freight elevator window, and our crews work the Medical Center and Galleria towers every week.
02 Why us

One name on the truck, the contract, and the crew

Book us and the truck in your driveway, the movers carrying your sofa, and the signature on your paperwork all belong to the same outfit — and if your dates slip, your things wait in our own Houston storage instead of a stranger’s lot. A broker hands your move to the cheapest bidder and disappears the moment you sign.

Orange Movers
  • Nine orange trucks we own outright and eighteen full-time movers on our own W-2 payroll
  • A signed flat rate before the first box moves — the number you settle, period
  • The crew that loads your home is the crew that unloads it, even into our storage
  • Texas DMV household-goods registration plus US DOT and MC authority on file
  • One Houston office and one point of contact from the first call to the final walkthrough
A typical broker
  • Sells your move to the cheapest bidder and keeps the difference
  • An estimate that somehow grows between booking day and moving day
  • Subcontracted strangers you never met handling everything you own
  • No straight answer on who pays when something arrives broken
  • A faraway call center standing in for a local moving crew

Did we skip your question?

Send it through the form and a person from our office answers for your exact move, most often the same day.
